Alessandro Dell’Acqua was born in Naples in 1962 and graduated at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Naples .
At 23 years old he was appointed as the new Creative Director of Genny .
Some years later he is the brand's Creative Director of Peter Pianforini , which actually helps him to deepenhis knowledge in the world of knitwear.
In March 1996 , Alessandro Dell’Acqua debuts with his first eponymous collection during Milan Fashion Week. The collection immediately finds a world of reference and it immediately becomes recognizable forsensual and feminine cuts combined the use of high-quality fabrics.
In January of 1998 during Pitti Immagine Uomo it was presented the first men’s collection Alessandro Dell'Acqua.
The brand Alessandro Dell’Acqua grows quickly expanding its offerings in 2000 with the collection of women’s footwear , and in 2003 with the collection of Eyewear licensed to Allison .
In 2001 he launches the first women's fragrance license with EuroItalia and in June 2002 , Alessandro Dell’Acqua is rewarded in Taormina with the prestigious 'Oscars of Fashion' as 'Best Designer Women’s Fashion'.
In 2003 Helena Christensen is the testimonial for the perfume’s advertising campaign shot by Helmut Newton.
In the years after Alessandro dell’Acqua helds the position of Creative Director for prestigious fashion houses such as La Perla, Malo and Brioni .
He collaborates with the world of art and prominent personalities as the artist Vanessa Beecroft, photographers Juergen Teller and Helmut Newton, the top-models Eva Herzigova and the Italian Maria Carla Boscono.
2010 marks a year of great change. After leaving the creative direction of the eponymous line Alessandro Dell’Acqua devotes all his experience gained over the years to the debut of the new project N°21 of which he is founder and creative mind.
N°21 has an immediate success with press and buyers, offering a modern wardrobe, unique with a keen eye for the trends of the moment.
In October of 2013 Alessandro Dell'Acqua is appointed as the new creative director of the French Maison Rochas.
Due to the persistent demand from buyers and insiders, in January of 2014 he presents first N°21 men’s collection during Pitti Immagine Uomo.
